My Personal Story Part 1
If you’ve come to this site, you’re interested in finding a good wordpress tutorial. To begin, let me tell you a little about myself. I’ve been into domaining for a little over a year now. If you don’t know what a domainer does, we buy domains and sell them to other people for profit. I was making decent money doing this, but the money hasn’t always been steady for me. I wanted to get into affiliate sales. I wanted to be able to create my own website, with my own content and have things such as Google Adsense and the Ebay Affiliate Program. Adsense is a program that lets you place advertisements on your webpage. When a visitor clicks on an ad, you get a small commission. As for the Ebay Affiliate Program, you can put Ebay auctions on your website. When somebody clicks on the auction and purchases from Ebay, you get a commission. You see how all of this could add up?
My dilemma was that I had no web building skills at all. So instead of learning how to build my own webpage, I paid someone else to build it for me. I had a niche that I thought would make me lots of money. I paid $200 to have the website built and began to add my sites to directories, wrote articles for the web, and plugged away at my site to get it in the top 10 on Google. It took me about six months to kill the niche, the only problem was, nobody was buying and I wasn’t making money.
One day I ran into Brian Johnson’s SEO Press Formula and decided to buy it. I’ve bought several e books before. Some of the e books were good, and others were lousy. I decided to drop the cash on Brian’s course and was completely amazed. In the course, there was xx Wordpress Tutorials, an e book to read, plus SEO wordpress templates.
If you’re thinking what I was thinking before I bought it, I thought that Wordpress is used only for blogs. I wanted to learn how to build blog pages, but I also wanted to learn how to build websites to bring in some extra money. Brian not only uses Wordpress for all of his websites, but he also brings in insane amounts of money doing it.
So I picked up SEO Press Formula and tried it out for myself. The first website I built took me a few days to get online, but I did it. I began to make a small amount of money on my first website within a couple of weeks. Brian’s formula wants you to find niches that users look for and build sites. He suggests once you’re done with one site, then it’s time to build another. My first site didn’t rank on Google as well as I wanted it to, but that was because I didn’t follow Brian’s formula exact. I watched the videos, read the e book, built the site, but did it my own way.
