Making Mistakes

If you don’t succeed at first, try and try again. There’s been a few times that I’ve built a website using Brian’s techniques, avoiding duplicate content, wrote and posted original content, and followed Brian’s methods exactly. Unfortunately, sometimes a website will not get the results that you expected.

Did you read about my $100 domain that I bought awhile back? I bought a pagerank 3 domain that had tons of backlinks. I built a website that was related to what use to be on that domain. Google ranked me really well. I dominated every keyword that I was targeting. The website was beginning to make money and then the site landed straight into the sandbox. I couldn’t find my website anywhere on Google.

In a panic, I emailed Brian and told him my problem. He emailed me back and told me to forget about it and move on. I didn’t take his advice that day and spent more time on getting the site out of the sandbox.  After about a month, I finally got my website out of the sandbox, but it never fully recovered. Then after a couple of months, it finally regained its top 10 position on Google again. Too bad the site never made a cent after that. A couple weeks later, the site lost its backlinks and back to the sandbox it went.

If I would of taken Brian’s advice from the beginning and just learned from my mistakes and moved on, I would have spent more time on building new sites instead of focusing on attempting to fix my mistakes. Lesson learned.

SEO Press Formula is an excellent course, but if you’re just starting out, you will make mistakes. That’s the whole process of learning this formula. You can watch the videos 20 times and read the e book a hundred times, but that doesn’t guarantee that there won’t be mistakes.

There was another website that I created that I followed SEO Press Formula exact. There were no mistakes. The website was flawless. I began to rank well for the targeted keywords, and then one day I landed straight into the sandbox. I couldn’t figure out why this happened. Just know that things happen sometimes. This time, instead of racking my brain on what went wrong; I shut the computer off for the day and started on a new site.
