Brian Johnson’s SEO Press Formula 60 Day Challenge
I’ve discussed this on other parts of this website. Not only does Brian Johnson teach us everything to do with Wordpress, given us some Wordpress themes to use, what Wordpress plugins to use, and everything we need to know about Wordpress SEO, Brian now has the SEO Press Formula 60 Day Challenge.
This course works with the help of the SEO Press Formula system. Brian Johnson will hold your hand through all of the steps it takes to create a successful, long lasting, and profitable website. In the beginning of the course, he tells us to follow his system to the tee. Don’t add your input into the web building process. Do everything that he says and you will succeed.
For me, this was the hardest 60 days that I’ve had. There were so many websites and ideas that I wanted to work with, but I followed Brian’s advice and stuck with the course.
In the first week, Brian shows you how to find profitable niches. I had a tough time with this, because I wanted to build my own ideas and had some excellent niche ideas. I put my ideas aside for the time being, and dived into the niche search. To my amazement, I came up with some really good niches that I would of never thought of, and some niches that could make some serious money if done correctly.
I found the perfect niche and was ready to build my website. Brian then got into in picking the perfect domain name. With all the proper keyword research, I found a domain name that was excellent for my specific niche.
Once again, I wanted to jump ahead in the course and begin building right away. I kept my patience and focus and continued to follow the steps that were given to me.
Then it came time to install wordpress. I was so excited to begin the building foundation of my website. I began to write content for my website like crazy and began to add links to my site from other websites that were competing against the same keywords as me. In the beginning, I found this process to be strange. Why would I want to add my competitors to my own website? Won’t I lose sales this way? Google loves it when a site has links, and begins to trust the site as a reliable source of information.
Now for the kicker, Brian wants me to visit these sites and add relevant content to their blog sections. Brian doesn’t want me to add relevant content for a small backlink, Brian wants me to become friends with the site owners. Eventually Brian had me ask for links back to their sites. This will bring amazing results to your webpage.
The very first website that I built using the 60 day challenge didn’t rank as well as I hoped. The reason why I didn’t rank well is because of one minor mistake that I made. There was a part of my website that had duplicate content that I overlooked. I took Brian’s advice and after about a month of adding relevant content to other people’s sites, I asked for links back. I went from 100th place to the top 20 in a matter of two weeks.
